The 2017 Merrimack Invitational is a championship caliber co-ed meet for schools in the South Central New Hampshire area.  For years, this meet has essentially marked the beginning of the championship season if-you-will, highlighted by extremely strong performances across all events.  Some of its appeal certainly emanates from the meet being limited to 15 teams and being held under the lights.  Kudos to Coach John Snell and his crew of veteran coaches, who consistently organize and run a professional level track and field meet.

Adding to its appeal this year is the fact that Merrimack High School has just completed a new stadium specifically designed for Track & Field. Their new latex track has a six- lane oval plus an eight- lane straightaway. There are two jumping pits, a large high jump apron and a new pole vault area. All throwing events take place in the stadium and can be viewed from the bleachers. Additionally the Division 1 Championship and the NHIAA Meet of Champions for 2017 will be hosted by Merrimack High School.
